WATERFOOLS – Ilotopie

METROPOLIS åbner med de garvede teatermagikere Ilotopie, der altid har brugt byen som deres scene.
Med Waterfools har de skabt et gigantisk værk på vand, der følger storbyens åndedrag.
En lille bil kører på vandet. En mand stiger ud og går over vandspejlet, tænder sit lys for at læse avis. Han hilser på sin nabo, der kommer cyklende forbi med en mægtig vandstråle fra sit baghjul. Alt ånder fred og idyl. Men pludselig står manden i flammer, og fra det sorte vand rejser besynderlige væsner sig overalt fra havnens dyb – som barokke figurer i et magisk eventyr.
Phil Spectrum har komponeret musikken til denne Magritte inspirerede forestilling, hvor teatret smelter sammen med et af de mest essentielle elementer for København: Vandet.
