NATURE, ARTS & CULTURE IN THE COPENHAGEN WE LOVE
A walk of 20 km to 12 places in Copenhagen. We meet green nature, art and culture, which is threatened by today’s unrestrained gentrification of investors with other plans. We are looking to meet and hear about the sites and we are discussing initiatives to save them. Signatures, posters … The message is Preserve! We are also looking for places in the city with small and large initiatives for the climate. What do we do when the disaster occurs without warning?
We start from the Inner City and move to…
Amager
9.00: Christiania – a secret garden
10.00: Amagerbanen – the old railway with track bikes is threatened
11.00: Den Grønne Friskole / The Green Freeschool – together, we plant a tree on Strandlodsvej
12.00: The garden at the nursing home Peder Lykke Centret constructed by the artist group Kanonklubben 1970
13.00: City gardener Jann Kuusisaari: Green in Urbanplanen
14.00: Amager Fælled marsh – 5000 years of untouched nature since the Stone Age; Lærkesletten and Stejlepladsen are threatened by new construction
15.00: Ballonparken – an oasis in the city with jointly owned shares
Vesterbro
16.00: Træstubben – a perma-cultural forest garden in Saxogade
17.00: Palads – ”The candy house”, a fantastic visionary art decoration by Poul Gernes, threatened by BIG’s huge office building
Nørrebro
18.00: DYRK – an ecological rooftop garden on top of Blågårds School
19.00: Baggesens studios and rehearsal rooms and mosque – completely burnt down during the corona crisis. Now what?
20.00: ANA (Astrid Noacks Atelier) – an experimental art space on Ydre Nørrebro in the middle of a completely gentrified construction hell
This is a plan, and all plans change.
Kirsten Dufour will walk together with Finn Thybo Andersen.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Through a visual arts practice as both artist, director and curator, I have experimented with and researched the development of artistic strategies with Finn Thybo Andersen and tested the opportunity to meet the public where they are in the public space – as an intervention in the urban space and as critical land art in nature. In addition, we work collectively at different levels with other artists and groups of artists in a process that partly results in joint production and partly offers other collaborative opportunities and understandings of work as a prerequisite for involving the audience.
Thus, YNKB (Ydre Nørrebro Culture Bureau), which is an art space on outer Nørrebro, emerged as a joint artist project in 2003 on the basis of the desire for the art to be present locally, while at the same time opening up an international exchange.
Astrid Noack’s Atelier (ANA) is an experimental art platform on outer Nørrebro that has existed since 2009. The Nørrekær Biennale has since 2014 served as a critical land art project in dialogue with its local area in Northern Jutland. In Birzeit, Palestine, YNKB’s and Parfyme’s project Peoples Museum 2007-16 continues.
